odd thing with breast - is this normal???

i've been breastfeeding for about 9 weeks now and i just wanted to check this was normal.

my left breast gets much more engorged than the right, seems to produce more milk and i can pump alot more from it. the milk however seems to be more waterily (ie quite pale in colour then more milky white). the let down is also much faster on this breast - literally squirting everywhere

the right breast, i cant pump much out of it and it is always more milky white in colour (even when DD2 is sucking on it). letdown is slower.

in terms of time on each breast, both get even times. she seems to use the right breast as a nipple though ...

so can anyone tell me what the is going on with them ??? & my DD2 ....

I always had a 'better' boob - my right one. Always got more out of it and was always bigger.

I am very similar (left breast) - in fact, dd2 occasionally refuses to feed from the right one. Think it is quite common - there are a few threads in the archives about this, and varying theories as to why. My HV reckons it's that I naturally feel more comfortable feeding her from the left one (which is true) and therefore she is more comfortable. I also read somewhere that it is to do with a headturning preference in babies (ie. they prefer lying on a certain side). Also, see this article

Yep my DS had a favourite boob!The left one, but that may have been cos I couldnt use the right one from 3wks - about 4months.I dunno thinking about it even b4 that he didnt like the right one very much. He is nearly 10 months now and still sometimes refuses the right breast
Could it be to do with the position you feed her in? Oh bonym has said bout that, the head turning thing! The pale in colour milk sounds like the foremilk (thirst quenching) then it changes to hind milk which is wot fills them up!
