Slight burning sensation

Hi everyone,

Have a quick query - for the past week or so, I have experienced a slight burning sensation in my right breast. Happens during and in between feeds. When my DD is feeding it gets slightly worse, but it also comes and goes.

Its ot exactly painful but its slightly uncomfortable. No signs of white spots on me or in my DD's mouth.

Any ideas? It's not causing me a great deal of discomfort but would rather nip it in the bud if it is somthing.

Thanks and sorry for the ramble!

Sounds like it could be thrush to me... we had 3 bout of it and it can be excruciating... like razor blades being dragged through my breast. You don't always see other symptoms but I'd keep an eye out for white patches in baby's mouth which don't rub away.
If it is thrush it will get much worse and you have to treat both you and baby, even if they show no symptoms -you may have to insist on this with your GP!

Thanks - I did think that it might be thrush. Its much better today, but will keep an eye on it.

I had this and it got very painful (don't want to scare you, sorry)I thought it was thrush too but it turned out to be a bacterial infection and I had to take a course of antibiotics to clear it up. Good Luck, I hope it doesn't get any worse for you! x
