Right boob hurts like hell

I think I have a blocked milk duct, white spot on nipple, DS is nearly 5 weeks. My breast is painful/inflamed at top and feels empty at the bottom. I've tried feeding DS, expressing, sucking it out with a syringe, hot bath, warm flannels and it just seems to be getting more and more painful.

Any advice? I'm still feeding DS on it but it's getting to the stage that teeth gritting won't cut it any more :(

I saw a thread where the advice was to poke it with a sterile needle?

Oh, it is horrible when you get these isn't it :( you have all my sympathy.

I have one duct which is always getting blocked (bizarrely started at 32 weeks pregnant!) and the best solution I've found is a hot bath followed by popping it with a sterile needle. I then make sure I exfoliate my nipple with a towel after every shower, which seems to stop it from coming back. I have been bleb free for 2 months now yay!

Hot flannels on the boob when feeding helped to shift the blockage as well.

Hope it gets better :)

Thanks, managed to clear it enough to express, got three ounces! No wonder my poor boob felt ready to explode. I suspect I may be doing the same thing tomorrow but at least I can get some sleep now :)
