Best Breast Pads?

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for decent breast pads. So far I've tried Boots' ones, which don't stick and Tesco's ones, which stick well but are too small. Haven't tried Mothercare's yet... any good?

Johnsons or Tommee Tippee. The rest are rubbish. There was another more obscure brand I tried which were good - can't remember name - but many of the pads you can buy in supermarkets/ Boots etc either don't stick or leak (I leaked the whole time I BF both DS, ie over a year - cost me a fortune in pads but washable ones weren't absorbent enough!)

I leak buckets and the only ones that are any good are Tommee Tippee - Tescos often have them half price too.

Johnsons. I would keep buying cheaper versions to try then give up, own brands are itchy, scratchy, horrible and don't stick. Johnsons are thick, moulded and stick very well.

Johnson's (or my absolute favourite -Lansinoh) both have very good 'stick-age' and absorbency. Lansinoh are more expensive though and I developed an allergy (and very itchy it was too) after only a couple of uses.

Reuseable ones are the way to go, they need washing a few times to get to full absorbancy but were much better than disposable after that.

The best I used were these from avent with a lace back to stop them slippping about.

lansinoh are very good. don't try sainsburys they're rubbish. i found boots OK but i guess everyone's different, and i never really needed themwhen out and about and therefore a good 'stick' would be important!

Yup, agree sainsburys ones are rubbish.
In principle I won't buy anything from mothercare now as they have shut the feeding room in my local store.

I liked lansinoh because they are quite thin and stay stuck to your bra, nothing more attractive then a breastpad falling out mid feed

Lansinoh are my favourite and Sainsburys have started stocking them (in our local one anyway) and have 1/3 off all baby stuff atm, so might be worth a look.

Lansinoh and TT ones - I like the Lansinoh ones because they are bigger and thinner than Johnsons and stick in 2 places so bunch up less.

Agree with the Lansinoh and Johnsons recommendations. I used Avent washables with DS1 and they were great, I must leak a lot more with DS2 as the dont last 30 seconds now!

i've just had my first night of trying the lilypadz silicon ones. it was lovely not to have to wear a bra in bed, but i don't think i put one of them on right as there was a bit of leakage. not sure about the lack of air to the nips either! maybe i'll just wear them at night as they will be a hassle in the day.

might try the washable ones - am not liking the cotton wool ones.

another vote for lilypadz - i used them for 6 months with no problems and would never use the cotton wolly/tissuey ones again

tescos for disposable
gorgeously soft and slim Little Lamb bamboo ones for reusable - they are great but obviously don't have a sticky bit so can move round a little.

Tommy Tippee ones are the best imo. Quite large in diameter in comparison to tescos, etc and thinner but much more absorbent, comfier and don't "show" as much through the bra.

I worried about them appearing so thin at first, but they are great. They do have stickers, but I never stick them into my bra and they never fall out.

As someone said earlier, tescos usually have offers on them and I stock up then.

Tommie Tippee are the best ive found (closer to nature) ones, like wickedfairy says they dont show through and are very comfy

i agree, tommee tippee are by far the best, really absorbant and big size.. johnsons were also good but i've not been able to find them in the shops lately. sainsburys were crap, no sticky bit and irritating around the edges of the pad.

ooh, the tommee tippee pack of 50 pads are a fiver in mothercare, but £2.50 in tesco, i stocked up last week!

I loved Avent ones but they seem to have stopped selling them in Boots and Tesco

yes don't pay a fiver for the Tommy Tippee ones if you can help it. They are often on offer somewhere and I get a few packs when they are. tesco have them on half price deal every so often and I've bought them on 3 for 2 in mothercare before, third off offer at ASDA in past, etc.

Another vote for Tommee Tippee... My next best are the Boots own brand slim ones, but the TT ones are definitely the best I've tried out of several.

Lansinoh by far the best.
Nice and big , had adhesive tape to stop slipping.
Super absorbent.
Good offer at Waitrose / John Lewis at present.
