question about expressing

In advance of me starting to express (once my pump arrives), can someone tell me what's recommended wrt which side to use afterwards.

Eg if I BF from left, should I express from right straight after and then BF from left side again when DD is hungry? Or should I express mid way in the gap between feeds so the timings are more even? (Not even sure that makes sense tbh)

Sorry if this is an obvious one..

From what I can remember (it was only a year ago - what has happened to my memory?) I used to feed from one boob and then immediately after express from the other. Then I'd start then next feed from the boob I'd expressed from. But I don't think it really matters and you'll probably find, as I did, one boob is much easier to express from.

I always expressed after the first morning feed as I that was when I had most milk. Some sites advise expressing from one boob whilst feeding from the other but I never quite got the hang of that.

Hope that helps a bit.

Thanks, probably will be a bit of trial and error anyway :)
