Bit subsequential but Sri Lankan (Tamil) etiquette?

Was at a party on Saturday with the DC. Only non Sri Lankan guests there, and was own without DP

Anyway, I had mastitis and needed to feed whereas normally I'd have been able to delay a BF til bedtime.

There was no 'other' room to go to apart from the toilet but as this was in a primary school (they'd hired the hall) that was a shiteola option.

I sort of hid in a corner practically underneath the buggy to feed but do wonder if this was necessary. Normally I feed everywhere and anywhere and tell grumpy disapproving idiots to bog off but I did feel as though I should actually put my Western pro BF in public sensibilities aside for this particular evening. Thing is, I have NO idea whether the people I was with actually approve of norks out public feeding or not. I kind of assumed not given other limited knowledge of the culture. Can anyone wisen me up?

it's fine

it's mainly western overly sexualised societies that have a problem with it.
