My little one is 14 weeks old and breastfed, but has until a few weeks ago (freezer went on the blink) been having expressed milk via a bottle with no problems. However I tried to give her a bottle today and she point blank refused it. I am due to return to work in 8 weeks and I am really worried that I won't be able to get her to drink from a bottle. Any advice on how I can encourage her would be sooooo much appreciated. thank you Smile

Don't worry too much about starting back to work, they can change so much in a few weeks.

Has anyone else tried to give her the bottle? I'm just thinking that if its you she may be wondering why you are shoving a bottle at her when she can have a bf Smile

How old will she be when you return to work? It may be that if she is old enough she may just choose not to have a bottle and just have you when you get home.

My DD refused to drink from a bottle at 26 weeks when I went back to work. However I had to leave her at nursery with both sippy cups and bottle and by the 2nd or 3rd day there they had managed to give her. Within a week she was a pro.

Don't worry about it for now but ideas include - breast flow bottles, or bottles with bags inside so you can squeeze the milk in.
