I have been EBF my DD for almost 6 months and during this time I have had just about everything you can get from plugged ducts, mastitis, thrush, milk blisters etc...
Just this week I have a new problem with one of my nips. It has a red, shiny spot/area on it and latch-on is really painful. Everything I have read points to thrush, but I'm not sure if it is as the symptoms were different last time...
This is only in one nipple and I thought thrush would affect both?? I can't really see any white patches in baby's mouth either.
It hurts after a feed (short sharp pains) as well as during. I have tried Lansinoh but it doesn't seem to be helping.
There's no point in me going to see my GP as they are all crap when it comes to anything BF related!
Any idea what this could be?
