Periods still not back - only one feed a day

Anyone else in this situation? I'm only feeding DD once a day - before bed. But no sign of my periods returning...

Has anyone else been in this position? I keep hearing people say "they'll come back when your baby sleeps through". Well - she had an expressed feed from 10 weeks at night so my boobs "slept through" from thenish.

lucky you, i just got mine back after 7 months and i'm still doing 4 or 5 feeds a day! enjoy it while it lasts!

Well I would - and have been - except that we'd like to start TTC soon and it seems pretty likely that we'll have to stop BF altogether if I don't start to ovulate soon Sad

And before someone pops up and says you can get pregnant before you get your period back - well, yes - but only if you were due to get that period anyway.

ah ok, sorry, i see your point...

With DS it wasn't until 4 weeks after I completely stopped breastfeedinh him that my periods started again. I was only doing about one feed per day at the end. With DD they atarted again when I was still bf her - maybe at around 9 months.

LadyS - not at all. Until v recently I was very happy with the situation - the penny's just started dropping that there may be a downside!

Noah - thanks, that's very reassuring. At 3am the other night I suddenly started wondering if it was early menopause!

It never happened for me until 4 weeks after I completely stopped breastfeeding, even with ds2, who was 12 months when I stopped.

How old is your DD? Mine didn't return for about 18 months with both DC. My friend's returned at 3 month even with feeding day and night, with tht last one shw was tandem feeding and they still returned at 3 months.
