Help! Too much beast milk

I am trying to bf my 4 week old son but we are both struggling due to the fact that I have so much milk. When he starts to feed the ater squirts into his mouth, and then sprays across the room, causing stress and tears for all. I want to continue but need some advice as to how to stem the flow. Thanks

You could try expressing a little bit before he feeds, just to relieve a bit of the pressure. I had the same problem when I was BFing. Once sprayed my friend sitting next to me in a cafe - twas a bit embarrassing, but luckily she was a BFing mum too, so thought it was funny.

He's a little too young to put on a timetable, but maybe once he's a few weeks older he will start feeding less often, which will also help to stabilise your production.

You can express(by hand is best for this) off the 1st bit if you feel very full to make it easier for baby to latch on. It will all settle down after a few weeks and will be much more manageable for both of you.
