Medium Teat for two week old?

My HV has been out today - i had concerns about DS's feeding, he screams for feeds every two hours - sometimes sooner but will somerimes not finish a feed and then cries an hour later.

HV suggested using the next flow teat, at the min im using tommy tippee ones. had a look and the medium flow teats are for 3 months plus, so im confused.

can anyone advise?

Cheers x

Try it, it can't harm, and if it's something else you'll know. If it makes no difference you'll know it's not that. Does seem to be a favourite of hv reccomendations. My ds doesn't seem bothered it's a slow/ medium or fast teat tbh,

Agree, if its too fast just go back to the first stage.

My dd was on these from 5-6 weeks old and if I'd thought of it earlier would have tried it earlier.

pommedeterre...was your dd falling asleep in the middle of her feeds?

Yes! She was (and still is) a rubbish feeder. Bf took hours and hours and bottle feeds 1-2 hours. I do remember having to be a bit careful with wind for the first couple of weeks of using the faster teats though.
