I have a 2 week old DD and for various reasons I am expressing my milk and feeding it from a bottle. I have noticed ove the last cuople of days that my left breast starts to leak quite a lot, and right doesn't. Also, left one produces loads of tbe watery stuff initially. The right one will just plod on for ages steadily producing milk drip by drip.

is there anything I can do to even the flow?

Mine do this, but over the time I express they produce the same amount overall so I've never been bothered my it. I express for 20-30mins at a time, in the first 10 mins the amounts are very uneven, but the right one catches up.

The flow can be a bit uneven, naturally but it may be to do with which breast you expressed last. Do you always pump in the same order?

It doesn't really sound like anything to worry about though.

Just as a side note... and feel free to disregard or ignore this if it's not relevant to you. I found breastfeeding terribly painful initially with my first baby (primarily because of thrush but also because she struggled to latch) and so expressed all her feeds. Eventually, the discomfort really eased off and I found breastfeeding became much more comfortable and simple. Your circumstances may be quite different though so as I say, ignore if this isn't relevant.
