An ideas on how to cope with a bad cold while breast feeding? My husband kindly passed a cold on i feel lousy and dd is going though a growth spurt so is constantly feeding. I think she has a liitle cold too as she has been grumpy and sniffly today. I've taken some parecetemal but not feeling any better tried to have an hour earlier when dd asleep but woke sweating with head aching. DD not quite six weeks any advice would be great. ps does having a cold effect milk supply i'm still bf on demand.

You can take ibuprofen as well as paracetamol and chicken soup has proven benefits. Avoid cough bottles - they're mostly placebos anyway. Whisky, honey and lemon is as good if not better.
