Playing around- what is she doing?

My dd is 4 weeks old and EBF with the exception of a couple of bottles of expressed BM. However over the past couple of days on her evening/ night feeds she is constantly pulling away (whilst still latched on) killing my nipples and what I can only describe as burying herself in my boob (I know they are comfy at the moment but....)
can anyone tell me what is going on is she trying to get more milk than I have?/ faster flow??
Help!!!!

mine did this, too - i partially resolved it by offering her the other boob - I think sometimes she was after more milk. Sometimes I think she did it because she was tire, though!

I agree this seems to happen more when they're tired. My DS is 6 months now and I have all sorts of boob wounds due to his writhing, yanking and twisting, not to mention grabbing and pinching!
He also does this more when his teething is bad (could your DD be teething already?), if so we found Anbesol liquid rubbed on his gums before a feed helped chill him out enough to eat without incident! Good luck... Smile
