Nipple chafing

I'm bfing 8 m.o. DS and I still need to wear breastpads as otherwise my nipples chafe against my bra and get sore. I don't particularly leak. All the other bfing mums I know ditched their pads ages ago and frankly I'm fed up of having them showing through my top.

I use Lansinoh once a day just to keep the skin in condition and stop the pads sticking.

Feeding isn't usually uncomfortble, unless DS is teething.

I do have some Lilypadz but I don't like them that much and they make my breasts smell funny. Blush

Is there anything I can do to improve the situation?

What about just cutting a cotton hankie or something into squares /rounds and trying that?

Have you been for a bra-fitting recently?

Thanks, petisa, I'd not thought of that. I'll see if I can find a nice silky feelingone.

japhrimel, I've not actually so I'll do that. It seems to be a problem whether I'm wearing my daytime or sleep bra, but it could well be that my daytime ones are the problem.
