Neocate - quantity query

Hi there,

It has been a long old road with my 9 wo who is dairy intollerent and has quite severe silent reflux.

He is now on Neocate, gaviscon, ranitadine and omeprozole.

Previously he was on Nutramigen (and aptimel before that) and was taking 6-7 oz a feed.

Now he is on Neocate he will only take 4oz (and is hungry every 2.5-3 hours rather than than every 3.5-4 hours when he was on the other formulas).

Has anyone else experienced a reduction in the amount taken at a feed when on Neocate? Is it much richer?

He probably hates the taste... my 1 yo who is also dairy intolerant stopped drinking milk completely for 3 days because she detested the taste so much. I'd ask your doc about disguising the taste in a way that would work for such a young baby! By the way, homeopathy cured my daughter's reflux. have you tried it?
