i must have been feeding from lefty more, as it is now 'goliath' to rightys 'david'

i tried to correct by feeding from 'david' first, but this seem to have made things worse

how do i get on an even keel without 'Goliath' getting even more engorged?

Keep on feeding from David first. Feed from goliath to prevent engorgement though. It may take weeks to even out and it might just stay that way.

I get a similar thing when DD1's favourite boob inadvertently gets more action (for some reason she feeds for longer on that side so tends to 'drain it down' more).

Do you have a breast pump? I have to express and bank milk for the odd occasion where I have to leave DD1 and go to a meeting/conference/etc. What works well for me when things get a bit unbalanced is to express a full feed from fav-booby (and freeze for use at another time) and offer booby-no-mates for the next feed (so basically offering booby-no-mates for 2 feeds in a row, whilst expressing a feed from fav booby to prevent a big milky explosion). DD1 does tend to ask for another feed pretty soon after but then slips back into her usual pattern. I find that if I do this for 3 or 4 days in a row things tend to even up. I'm not entirely sure why it does work - something to do with a breast pump not removing the milk as effectively as a baby I suspect.

Not exactly an expert perspective on things but it does work for me!!

I have exactly the same problem - left side is more than a cup size bigger than the right. left side used to be the favourite, but now DS (16mo) uses both equally and the left is STILL massive compared to the right side!!

Oh well....hoping they'll even out in the end!!

have had a good old fel of Goliath to ensure nothing is blocked.....

nothing exciting to add, but wiping away tears of laughter at David and Goliath - I have exactly the same problem! one booby no mates and one fav booby...i forget which one I've fed from last (not getting much sleep here so brain given up) so tend to go to bed with one huge milky straining bosom and one flat and floppy one...
