It is on my right side and it is really painful, it "feels" like she is biting (she has teeth but I'm she's not)... it feels really sensitive even when she's not actally feeding. Anyone any idea what could be up? I have been feeding her in the dark at night and just kind of pointing her in the right direction and letting her sort out the latch... do you think this is the issue, a bad latch over a period of time leading to this pain? This boob has been causing me issues lately, 2 blocked ducts in the space of 14 days and has it always felt more awkward feeding from that side anyway (I always assumed because I am right handed)I'm not sure how to make it better, i have tried to pay more attention to positioning her on correctly but it still hurts! Sorry about the rambling!

I have had random periods of bad nipple pain. I've always put it down to a bad/lazy latch, probably caused by teeth - not necessarily biting but when they get new teeth their latch probably has to adjust. Lansinoh does help.

I have the same problem (at 9/10mths) and even got fresh blood coming out at one stage. I think its just a cracked nipple

Hello, thanks for your replies, I had a good look Blush it all looks pretty normal (can you see a cracked nipple?) Just wandering can you get Lansinoh on prescription? Wink

I have found that whenever DS was cutting more teeth that it would take up to a week/10 days for him to sort his latch out again, and during that time I would get a lot of nipple pain and general soreness.
