TMI alert - white spot on nipple..

and very sore nipple, shooting pain even when not feeding...is this thrush? i thought i had a blocked duct but think that has cleared now...anyway should i go to GP in morning, or just call HV? anything i can do to help now?

im really sorry, this has nothing to do with your question, but what does TMI mean?? ive seen it on so many posts and i have no idea!! is there a mumsnet guide to acronyms? i found a generic guide through google but there are some such as this that seem unique to mumsnetters...

hope your white spot gets sorted...

MrsGravy - that looks like it, do i not need to see anyone then and try the hot compress etc? I am away next week so wont be able to go and see GP/HV etc?

It sounds like a classic plugged duct.Try and soften and unplug it or you will get milk backing up along the duct and that in turn can become mastitis.You can pop the white lump with a sterilised needle,soften first with hot wrung out damp flannels.massage gently towards the plug and feed feed feed as that will often unblock it anyway.
