Sore breasts - when will they feel better?

My dd is 6 weeks old and is being exclusively breastfed. She is feeding well and putting on weight, but my boobs are still very tender. My nipples are not cracked or anything but my whole breast is very tender and sore the whole time. I don't know if this is because I usually can only get her to take one breast per feed? This means the other one is very full and tender/lumpy by the next feed. Also, she is already going quite long in the night (from 10.30pm to 3.30am and then until 7.30am) so this means by breasts are full and sore especially if she only takes one per feed.
Is it normal after 6 weeks for your boobs to still feel large/tender? I thought your milk production was meant to calm down and your breasts would feel more normal? Any advice appreciated!

Same here. I can't remember when this improves but it does!

It varies by woman but shouldn't be long before your boobs adjust. IIRC it was about 6-8 weeks for me to stop feeling huge all the time.

Great thanks. Fingers crossed it happens soon!
