One boob or two?

DD is 8 weeks today. Up until now I have only been giving one breast at each feed to ensure she gets enough hind milk (she has been v. windy with green poos and I was told this could help). However, I'm wondering whether I should be starting to give both sides now. She seems a bit more fractious over the past week and I'm wondering whether it could be that she's hungry. What do you think? Also, if I give both sides, should I always start on the same side that I finished on during the previous feed?

Definitely offer the other side - I just used to start with the boob that felt fuller....

My LO was v. rarely interested in more than one side - still isn't. I would still offer though :)

Just offer the second side....not sure why you wouldn't! :)

Yes, alternate starting sides if you can be bothered to remember.

I haven't been up til now because of the advice i was given re. her colic, I have been worried that it might make it worse

My DD never took the 2nd side but DS who is now 8 weeks has always had both sides since my milk came in! Just weighed in today at 12lb 10 around 65th centile! He's chubbin' up lovely!

Def offer, use a bracelet or something to remind you which boob you are due to feed next, I can never remember and having a squeeze of my boobs does not give me the answer!

always offer both
don't worry too much about order...milk volume is what counts.

I was wondering which to offer if baby has had both on previous feed too. I suppose maybe the baby sometimes has slightly less from second if almost full, so that's the one to go with first?
