My lo was summarily evicted at 34 weeks weighing 3lb 14oz. She's now 11 weeks old (so 5 weeks adjusted) and 8lb 2oz!
That last represented a gain of 1lb 3oz in two weeks.
She was too immature to bf at birth. She had nutrients by tube while building up tolerance to my EBM. We later learned to bf with the support of the scbu staff and the bf nurses. I've also picked up quite a few tips from this forum, so thanks everyone.
While it's nice to see her jump centiles as she plays catch ups now she's home, the most exciting thing about her weight gain was when she got dimples in her knees. Dimples!
I know people say that formula fattens 'em up faster, but I don't see how it would've beaten me bfing her considering how often she wanted to be fed.
