Thrush and using Jelonet - is it a bad idea?

Hello - sorry me again!!!!

I have thrush and on my second lot of medication for it. But I am also using Jelonet in an attempt to heal a crack on breast.

But now I am worried about it making the thrush worse because I know that thrush likes moist environments.

Just wondering if anyone used jelonet at the same time as on medication for thrush? Is it a bad idea and should I stop using the Jelonet?

Hmm not sure. I see what you mean about the moist environment...I used jelonet once my thrush had cleared. But for me the daktarin acted very quickly (DS also had daktarin gel and I also bought flucozanole over the counter and combined it all with a scorched earth approach involving regular hot washes for bras, DS's soft toys, bedding and towels as well as taking pau d'arco supplements and lots of probiotics/live yogurts).

Is your baby also being treated? Just to rule out your baby reinfecting you.

How about smearing on the daktarin cream and letting it sit for a while (air exposure is also good for healing) and then apply the jelonet?

Thrush is a real pita so you have my sympathies! But once it clears and the crack heals then feeding is a lot easier. Fingers crossed it all clears up soon.

Oh I also cut right down on sugar (found it impossible to cut it right out!).

IIRC you need to get rid of the thrush infection first so that the crack can heal up. So would avoid the jelonet - get the thrush sorted then can use moist wound healing for the crack if it's still there.

Am fairly sure the crack won't heal til the thrush has been zapped IYKWIM
