Been feeding my 5week old baby formula for past week as couldn't cope with breast feeding.
Everyone says babies feed every 4 hours but just can't get him in a routine.
I make up 4 oz bottles for him, sometimes he will have it all or someimes half and half over about an hour, but he will always want another again about 2 or 3 hours later or sometimes sooner. but he won't take more than 4oz to keep him full for longer.
Also through the night he quite often just has one oz every hour which is annoying but cant get him to take more.
Anyone any advice? Going to try that dream feeding tonight not sure if it will work though!!

He's only five weeks! There is no point trying to get him into a routine so early - you will just stress both of you out.

And babies aren't all textbook I only every took 2oz every 2hrs for six months. Feed him when he's hungry, as stressful as that might be. Follow his lead, and he'll settle into a routine that works for him.
