Ds has weaned himself off at long last!

DS (2y7mo) had his last feed on Thursday night and hasn't asked since - not even when we have been snuggled up in bed together! I am amazed at hour painless it has been, he has been missing the odd morning or night time feed over the last couple of weeks and we have been so busy as well. But I am so glad he has stopped by himself, my clever little boy! Funny thing was I remember when I fed him on Thursday night, he pointed at my boob and said "mummy milk!". He has always asked for it by signing for it.
He has suddenly got into drinking cow's milk over the last week or so, so I wonder if that has something to do with it as well.

I was always adamant that I wanted him to wean himself off the breast, I am glad he has done that. I have over time though got him to reduce his feeds, but in quite a gentle way.

I was a bit worried about leaking or exploding boobs, but I guess because he was only feeding 1-2 times a day, I wasn't producing a lot of milk.
