What do BBF babies do for daytime milk when you go back to work?

DS is Breastfed and fully weaned, and nearly 8 months. He still has breastfeeds before breakfast, mid morning, mid afternoon, and before bed.
We are doing OK at sipping water from a cup, but I have made no real attempts to offer milk from anything else.
I'm planning on returning to work when he is around 10 or 11 months, but do not know if I need to think about a milk cup / bottle, or will he be fine without milk in the day by this stage? And I should I be phasing out the mid morning and mid afternnon feeds?

No experience personally, but I have a friend who is back at work three days a week, her DC is the same age as mine (8.5 months) and he just waited for her to begin with, and is now almost entirely weaned, by his own choice.

I guess just go by his lead - if he is still wanting milk by that point, you could try it in a bottle / cup. But he may have cut them out himself by then

Sorry not very helpful The thought was there though!

I went back at 6.5 months, and was lucky to often be able to come home for a lunchtime feed. Having said that I worked long days (10-12 hours) and expressing def not practical for me at work so it was necessary. I used to settle down in front of the TV once he'd been put to bed and express what I could for him to have when I was away in the daytime - never managed more than a few meagre ounces but he managed fine and was as enormously chubby at 9 months as he was at 6

In your position I would try hard not to worry too much. You might find he ups his nighttime feeding a bit while you both adjust but your boobs will manage quickly without the daytime feeds (and you can always express a bit away for comfort while at work). We coslept at this point so more night feeds didn't make much difference (and it's lovely to have the extra time with them when you're away from them in the daytime).

Good luck
