Boobie preference !

Anyone experienced this?

My DD (4.5mths) has started really favouring my smaller boob (I've always had one that seems to produce more milk than the other). Its a real pain ! She fusses over the bigger one, comes off, goes on, isn't taking any real amount.

This has been going on for about a week. Do you think the flow could be too fast for her ?

Its strange - she's more likely to take some from it when I've given her first helping on the smaller side.

I've been expressing a little from the big side to try and take the pressure off, but it isn't ideal !

My daughter was the same. Hated the right, wouldn't feed off it. Left all the way. She fussed all the time. I expressed off the right most of the time when she was at nursery (from 10 wks) and kept the left for her in the end. Couldn't figure it out.

Is it harder for her to latch on, being bigger?

Both my DD's have/had a favourite, oddly one preferred the left and the other preferred the right. I thought that DD2 would prefer the same one DD1 did, not sure why...

My DD prefers to feed on my right side, except for at her early morning feed where she prefers to feed off my left, very full, boob.

My ds prefers right booby to left booby and during the day will fuss and fret when offered hhe left one. I get round this by giving him the left one when he is sleepy and find he takes it quite easily then.
