Nipple blister - ouch!!

I have developed a blister on my nipple and it is VERY painful.

Think it is a milk blister but it is clear, like a blister that you might get on your foot. Have checked KellyMom and doesn't sound like it is due to latch as it is not a blood blister. Have been doing hot compresses before feeds today.

How long will it take to heal? Should I pop it?

In case it is to do with latch, I have been more careful about it today but DD just seems to adjust herself (she is 7.5mo). So, if it is to do with lacth/positioning, how do I improve this with an older baby?
