No poo - what would you do?

Hi, my little girl is 10 weeks old and before had never gone more than 3 days between poos but its now been 8 days (she's exclusively breast fed). I know breast fed babies can go for quite long periods between poos - when would you start to worry and go to docs etc. She's my first so know I can be a bit mental overly concerned about her!

Many thanks, Clare x

Perfectly normal at that age if she's exclusively breastfed. Expect a dramatic poo sometime in the next week (probably when you are out and about with no change of clothes)...

We are on Day 13 here of no poo. My god the farts!

If she is happy enough then I wouldn't worry (am not worried about DS2), breastmilk is perfect food, so there just isn't any waste to get rid of.

it'll turn up eventually

just try and be at home when it does

Thanks for the replies, after all the worrying poowatch is over. While I was changing her thought 'ooh that wasn't as bad as I'd feared' then the little darling delivered an encore all over her changing mat (and me!)

be careful what you wish for eh!
