spacecadet · 20/08/2005 12:41

well done for bf so long

hunkermunker · 20/08/2005 12:42

Well done on breastfeeding for so long! I hope the thrush clears up really quickly. Glad DD2 is taking it well - makes it much easier!

DS is down to one half-hearted feed in the morning - and only ever feeds from one side now. The other side didn't need any expressing, but had only been fed from every other morning for a while anyway. Do have achey boobs, but that's pg-related!

Be very proud of yourself - fantastic stuff!

well done!

I'm approaching 1 year and not sure what to do.

moondog · 22/08/2005 10:07

Well done yorkiegirl. Massive pat on the back to you! Ds gave up at 11 months. Iwas so surprised and a bit sad. Thought he'd carry on until at least 2.
Nice to get into some different clothes though!

aloha · 22/08/2005 10:13

Ooh, well done. Buy a frock and new bra to celebrate! Hope the thrush clears up asap. I stopped feeding ds at just over a year and it was so easy.

sweetkitty · 22/08/2005 10:43

well done huge pat on the back

My DD stopped at a week off her first birthday put her straight on cows milk she's wasn't fussed, TBH a year was the right time for us as I was pregnant again as well.

MrsMiggins · 23/08/2005 19:24

I too have given up. DD is 15 mths. She stopped the bedtime feed a couple of weeks ago when she bit me. I still offered but she wanted stories instead!
This morning I offered her milk but she shook her head. I said do you want to go downstairs & she nodded.
I wasnt ready to give up but I cant force her, and in a way at least she has made the choice rather than me deciding to stop.
Still feel a little sad though as thats my 2nd & last child

dropinthe · 23/08/2005 19:27

Know that feeling when its your last- I gave up at 18 months and it was a very sad time but it soon will be a distant, but lovely mammary!
