Itchy breasts!

Any ideas what causes itchy breasts during feeding? It's the whole breast that itches, not the nipple. Weird!

Mine were like that at times.I put it down to sweat and wearing breast pads all day and night. Try washing your breasts once or twice through out the day and have some bare boob time when you can.

I get that when the breast is "finished" and it is time to move to the other. DS usually pops off a couple of seconds after they get itchy.

yeah, thinking back, yet I had forgotten til now, I used to get that when I first started bf. I put it down to my own frustration of trying to get her to latch correctly,as though the frustration came out in itchiness.

Yeah, I used to get itchy boobs too. I sometimes thought it was just the milk coming in, or as Bumbums said, the wearing of pads and stuff.
It is sort of irritating but not in a huge way.
Mine would get itchy right up in my arm pit where I had no hope of being able to itch, whilst babe was attached, so had to grin and bear it.
ah, them were the days!!
