Mine were ordered on line but I have checked and they have already been dispatched so I'm hopeful they will be here tomorrow!

When everybody has the book we shall set our date... Ohhhh the excitment! I am looking forward to it! Xx

I went online yesterday to order a copy from Waterstones, but I couldn't make the £2.99 offer work...so I'm going into town at lunch to get mine!! I am very excited!!

the offer shows up when you get to the checkout- it shows the book as 5.99 or whatever but then at the bottom under the total cost it comes up as saving and then the new total. I think the offer ends at 5 today though!xx

Crunchy - even when I went right through to the checkout it didn't reduce the price and have the proper savings...weird! Anyhow, popped out at lunch and bought it, although again had problems with the offer and they charged me full price and I had to walk all the way back to the shop to get a refund when I realised what had happened!

But yay! I have my copy!

aww I hope you have a fab weekend! That was my concern-I finish some books really Quickly and then some seem to take forever! I think A lot of it depends on the kind of week I'm having though. I sometimes have that much going on I'm my head or at work that I re read parts of books or just can't get into them!

So do we think we should all aim to read the lot before our discussion or should we discuss it in parts? As in read 10 chapters and discuss characters/Initial ideas etc? What would everyone prefer? Xx

Hmmm, I was wondering the same thing. I can be great with a book and finish it in a day, or with some I can be reading it for months!

Ok so I'm hoping I will get Mu books tomorrow and will have a better idea of how long it will take me but obviously I appreciate that people are different!

Shall we say our first chat should be a first impressions session (then if people have read ahead that will be ok as long as there's no spoilers!)

Ok-I'm bititng the bullet ladies - how does next wednesdAy at 8 sound?

Aim to have read first 10 chapters and we can discuss characters, first impressions over all and perhaps whAt we think will happen? Then that should give everyone chance to get the book but there's no pressure if people Are finding it hard going or have had a busy week at work? Just a suggestion though! Let me know what you think (ladies who already have the book-maybe you think we should aim for the whole book or more or les than 10chapters-I just picked a number as I haven't seen it yet!)

Hello all,

If we're going to do a Saturday, it'll have to start next Saturday as I won't be able to get the book until this weekend!!

I live in the sticks (at the foot of Dartmoor in Devon) and can only get out at the weekends as I work from home - bummer!!

Just wondering whether a Sunday would be better? Only a suggestion though, 'cos Saturdays we tend to do our shopping and Sunday is slightly more chilled and DH sometimes works on a Sunday so no interruptions... But depends what everyone can do.

What does everyone else think?! Really don't mind either way!!

I've managed a few pages of the book so far and I can already see this being quite a quick addictive read!

I am not going to be able to make weekends very easily...off to Jersey this weekend, next weekend I'm away at Rutland water and then I'm in Singapore for the following two weekends. However, I'm not bothered if you guys go ahead without me...I figure this is a thread so i can just read and add in before or after the session...

Dawn - very jealous of you living at the foor of Dartmoor. DH and I love it there! We've spent a couple of lovely romantic weekends in Dartmoor over the last few years and were there for the May bank holiday this year. We went to Wistmans Wood - I wanted to see Tangle Wood!

Most popular? I would probably find Wednesday about 8 best of thusday about 7 as I know my nubby will be busy with things then anyway! We do tend to do stuff at the weekends too-which is best for you girls? B is the one who can't make it buy has said she would be happy to post opinions/questions in her own time as that is what she does usually anyway! Xx

Ok, so the book is quite small so i agree it might be a quick read- Do you want me to cut and paste all of the suggested discusion notes from the Richard and Judy site? Just as its a first one it might get us going and then we can see how far we have read and just talk about the relevant questions?
