What crime or fantasy book would you recommend?

2-in-1, The Bible

I recently read a book called The Starless Sea (fantasy book) by Erin Morgenstern. It was recommended to me by a woman at work and I've since bought my own copy as I know it's one I'll read again.

I think you might like it, it's a fantasy fiction and I found it such a fun book to read.

Well, what have you already read and liked?

One of my favourite ever Crime books is We Begin at the End by Chris Whitaker. It's incredible and I think about it often. He's just published another book and I can't wait to read that.

The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden is one my favourites. I recently read The Silent Companions which is more a supernatural thriller but a good read. Piranesi by Susanna Clarke is kind of a fantasy and crime rolled into one, and at the same time genre defying.

For crime I've recently loved Chris Whitaker, Jane Harper, Morgan Greene and Nicci French.
For fantasy this year I've particularly enjoyed TJ Klune and Adrienne Young.

Oh and Jo Callaghan for crime too. Just seen you asked for specific books so We Begin at the End, and Has anyone seen Charlotte Salter and Fable were three favourites.
