Our July book of the month is Zadie Smith's brilliant novel Swing Time. We hope you'll join us by reading the book ahead of the webchat with Zadie - on * Wednesday 2 August from 9pm *

Swing Time is Zadie's fifth novel and tells the story of two young girls who meet in a West London dance class. Find out more about the book.

If you didn't win a free copy, you're still welcome to join us by buying the book or downloading the e-book, or just posting a question to Zadie about her award-winning back catalogue.

Thanks for answering my question. I remember when White Teeth came out and my friends and I were jealous and amazed that someone our age had written a novel while we were lowly production assistants. I'm so glad you are still writing brilliant novels. Really enjoying getting absorbed in the world of Swing Time.

I haven't had a chance to look at my email yet but I doubt I will get to see the book

I got a free copy of this, but it didn't arrive before I went on holiday!
So I am really sorry I didn't get the chance to read it in time for the web chat - I will leave a review when I have.

I'm sorry I missed the webchat too. I couldn't think of a question to ask beforehand based on what I'd read so far. The Q&As made interesting reading and now I've finished the book I'm off to write a review of it. Thanks for the free copy - I don't want to seem ungrateful!

Just finished this so far too late unfortunately. Thought it was brilliant.

Finished this one a bit late unfortunately. I was away so couldn't be there for the chat sadly, but enjoyed the book by the pool.

Loved the book. All the characters felt so real and I liked the way Zadie jumped around in time to tell the story. A great read, like all her other books.
