Would you describe your home as 'a fcking mess'? Do you set about on a spring clean only to find yourself hours later sitting in the same mess looking through old photo albums?*

Rachel Hoffman offers up a no-nonsense approach to de-cluttering your home with brilliant tips on how to maintain a tidy home with minimum effort. Unf*ck your habitat started as a tumblr blog with daily and weekly challenges. The blog now has over 30,000 followers and Rachel has put all her ideas together into her new book.

Apply now for a free copy before 10am Monday 16 January. If you're one of the lucky 50 come back to this thread and let us know what you think.

We're also offering the chance to put your questions about cleaning and de-cluttering to author Rachel Hoffman (whether you have read the book or not). Post all your questions for Rachel before midday on Monday 13 February. We'll post up her answers on this thread before the end of the Feb.

I could do with this!

FaceThatRunsThePlace · 10/01/2017 14:34

I've applied, while sitting among the detritus from the Great Cupboard Sort Out I half-heartedly started this morning.

I think I need this book!

WorldsSmallestPatio · 10/01/2017 14:54

Pretty please with sugar on Smile

pigglepaggle · 10/01/2017 15:45

I NEED this book

GrumpyInsomniac · 10/01/2017 17:31

Ha! I so need this! If she can get me to the point where I have unfucked my shithole home, she will deserve every plaudit I have to give. Not sure whether her principles would really apply to the disabled, but since it's the disability that stopped the housework, who knows?

Anyway, pretty please. Will bribe with cake :)

MrsPear · 10/01/2017 18:31

Put me down. I am fed up with the Hmm faces from h's family when they visit and could do with plan.

WhereDoAllThePokemonGo · 10/01/2017 21:27

Yes please! Goodness knows I need it especially since I am about to pop with a mini future mess tornado Grin

MuckleMadMoose · 11/01/2017 10:02

This made me chuckle, I've applied. Moving to a house with less storage so will have less space to hide all the clutter! Shock Definitely need help getting rid of it.

Fuckityhi · 11/01/2017 10:05

Applied. Trying to read more non fiction this year and unfuck has been on my list for a while.

MrsNathanDrake · 11/01/2017 10:07

Oh, yes please!!! My house is a disaster area!

ParadiseCity · 11/01/2017 10:11

This sounds much more my type of book than cheery fly lady or calm kondo. I have applied with fingers crossed Smile

RhodaBull · 11/01/2017 10:16

Got asked by a tradesman the other day, "Have you moved in recently?" We have lived here 12 years Blush . I tried to look around with new eyes and saw cardboard boxes of books, piles of "stuff" , heaps of coats, mounds of shoes... I need this book badly!

OldBooks · 11/01/2017 10:33

Oh gods I need this. I am actually on the verge of tears moving around my house looking at the mess

Buntythelizardqueen · 11/01/2017 13:30

I've applied. Save me from years of hoarding and other family members' crap too!

MrsSiba · 11/01/2017 13:58

I've applied. We're moving and I would love to streamline so we don't carry with us all the stuff we brought here 5 yrs ago!

MrsSiba · 11/01/2017 13:59

My question to Rachel is.......

Can you declutter while packing for a house move and how do you go about it?

BeyondTheStarryNight · 11/01/2017 14:28

Please please please please please please please!!! Grin

Sweetpea021 · 11/01/2017 15:04

I'm hoping to be one of the lucky 50. We've lived in this house 8 years now, longer than we've ever been in one place before. Without a house move to prompt a clear out every nook and cranny is crammed full of stuff. Would be great to have a book club that also became a support group for the decluttering 'Un f*ckers'.

BellFromBow · 11/01/2017 20:03

Yes, into need help with this. Any tips for getting kids involved?!

HellonHeels · 12/01/2017 13:32

I've applied. Living in a teeny space now and need to keep it down. Boyfriend is a keeper of "stuff" so I need help!

deepbreath · 12/01/2017 16:55

I'm determined to get our house sorted out this year. In our defence, we all have medical issues that make things more tricky, but I am sick of the mess, and the embarrassment if an unexpected guest drops in. Babysteps are great, but I think my house needs gallumphing great big steps to make a dent in the mess!

Slinkier · 12/01/2017 17:00

I have applied, really need to sort my house out and this might just be the help and kick up the bum I need!

JintyandtheJs · 12/01/2017 19:54

Me please Need this!

WiggleYourWoo · 12/01/2017 21:06

No, thanks, I don't need yet another thing cluttering my house! 😉

kissmethere · 12/01/2017 21:12

Yes please!!
