Arrest at Millfield?

I was chatting to a teenage boy who was in the adjacent bay to my son at the local driving range on Tuesday afternoon.
He shared with me that he had been there much of the day because his Mum was at work and his whole year (5th form) had been sent home early from Millfield for half term as a fellow pupil had been arrested!
I didn’t want to pry into details due younger children being present, but intrigued to know why and hoping everything is ok.

You don't want to pry? What is this then?

Yep, I’m being nosy. As per my post, I didn’t want to ask the child for more details in front younger kids.

Kids get arrested at secondaries all over the country from time to time, including posh boarding schools. I've never heard of a school closing early because of it though. Almost always possession of drugs for police to actually be called to school for the arrest.

Unless you have a child at the school this is not just nosy, but excessively nosy.

People are being arrested all across the country every day.

I can’t believe you think this thread is appropriate OP.

If it was in any way your business I’m sure you would have been notified by now.

Three quarters of Millfield pupils are boarders so how would they send a whole year of pupils home early? Where would they go whilst waiting for parents to arrive?

I think he was skiving and making up a lie for the nosy lady OP.
