A pity as there were about 150 responses on there which included a plethora of interesting information and discussion

why was it deleted, do we know??

That will likely have been deleted by MN as there was a potentially incriminating post on there linked to the 'Safeguarding' thread, perhaps by the poor OP.

It also became apparent in later posts that the comments weren’t about Eton, which wasn’t initially obvious.

The original post stated that their DS 'recently left a well-known boys’ boarding school'

...and that...

“He didn’t have his own room until the final year.”

Whilst it would be wrong to speculate fully....a well-known all boys boarding school and only their own room in final year...that would rule out Radley for example, and Eton, but doesn't rule out Winchester (albeit now also co-ed in 6th Form), possibly Harrow (depending on House) or Merchiston Castle.

In any case, an awful situation for the OP.

it was a bizarre situation because despite it being the Eton thread, another school was named in the context of receiving an interview offer

then someone jumped on that and started making statements about a school without making the school. So it wasn’t clear from their posts if they were statements about Eton or the other school which had been mentioned sometime earlier

then it was clarified that they meant the other school (NOT Eton)

then it got pulled
