Gifts for staff

First year boarding for DC. Can anyone share any ideas of what they are getting as Christmas gifts for house mistresses & Gappy’s please.

Not sure what a gappy is but I get a bottle of champagne for house master/mistress and house year tutor and the three matrons and then a basket of goodies (chocolates, biscuits etc) for general house staff consumption. I don't do end of year gifts as this seems to be not a thing at my DC's school.

A gappy ( according to DC) is a gap year student who has come to work in a boarding school and assists in boarding houses/ prep/ sports etc….

I work in a boarding school. The housemasters tend to receive a lot of wine from parents. It is absolutely not an expectation, but being the hardest workers for your child(ren), they very much appreciate it!
