My son has a place at Eton for 2026 and it's dawning on us all that he has CE in about a year's time. He's at a good prep but he hates exams and I want to help him with some practice papers over the summer. What are the best ones to look at? I see there are several publishers with their own versions, and ISEB have some rather expensive ones for download. Any advice gratefully received!

The Bond ones are good and are free

If he’s at a good prep then they will do practice papers to death next year and he will be exam ready.
if you add to it by forcing him during this summer you risk spoiling your relationship and making him unhappy for no point at all. The eton CE pass mark isn’t very high - he’s done the hard work already by being offered a place. The ce exam for eton is merely a formality.
id leave it well alone and just chat with the school that they believe all is in hand as far as they are concerned for next summer. You don’t need to hot house him a year in advance with papers. Plus unless you are a teacher how are you going to mark them and give constructive feedback? This is why they are at prep schools - to let them prepare them! Keep the faith.
(ps no normal children love exams 😂😂😂)

If he hates exams, actually being at Eton is going to be a nightmare …
