@Calliopespa not wanting anything specific feedback really just wanted to see how parents are feeling about it all from the ISEB's to interviews and the Eton test.

is this for year 9 entry or year 12 entry?

Hey @25Green I thought I'd chime in and say I hope you're finding the process ok - I know it feels super slow! I think most of the first cohort will have had their interviews now, the second will be having them now and the first cohort will be hearing about their places soon. Has your DS had his test and interview yet? Anyone else from your school going through the application process?

@Xiaoxiong The process is very daunting from start to end! And also hard trying to balance what your child might be like in 3 years time, finances, expectations etc. Yes & yes.

We are waiting to hear. By end of the Easter holidays we should know, apparently.

Hello, my son has his interview next week. We only applied to three schools so are finding the admissions process okay. Have people in the first and second "tranches" started hearing back? Hope the news is good! If Eton is your first choice school, can I ask what your second choice is? We are not sure what our first choice school is yet... Thanks.

Tranche 1 was communicated to in the third week of March (DS got an offer).

Yes! A place! I hope everyone else got lucky too. We are not sure where DS will go as yet but options are a great thing.

Congratulations @HampsteadAcademic and @FingersCrossedAgainAgain ! What other schools are you looking at? My DS had his interview this week, says it went well. He found the computer test really hard.. is it predictive? Hoping the fact he found it hard might be a good thing 😅

I meant adaptive... not predictive (test gets harder the better you do)

I've read that it is, but have no direct experience of this.

@Puttinontheritz yes it's adaptive - as you get earlier questions right, it gives you harder and harder ones until you're getting them wrong. So everyone answers different questions, but no matter which ones, everyone comes out of the test feeling like it was really hard!
