Is there any parents with kids going to Oxford International College (OIC) Brighton currently?

My boy just got an offer from OIC Brighton to start Year 9 in Sep 2024. Would be keen to hear the comments on this school, especially that it is a new boarding school and the tuition & boarding fees appear to be above average among the peers. Thank you!

Hello - my son also - as a day pupil. Looks good. I am also going to be a teacher there.

Congratulations!

My son is a currently studying in Hong Kong. We are interested to OIC Brighton.
Can you give us some advices and ideas for the interview and what we can prepare to increase his chances to be accepted ?

Thank you!

Hi @Cathyeung - thank you! My son hasn’t accepted the offer from OICB in the end, but we can share roughly what he has been through the interview process.

They require applicants to submit some write-up and a poster alongside the application, which will be used as the basis for discussion with the headmaster during the interview. Before that, my son has sat for an online Eng and Maths assessment. He did that online as he could not attended the assessment on site in person.

So in summary, no prep required except for those submissions along with the application. Happy to take any further question that you may have. All the best with your son’s application!
