Hi

Daughter will be starting in y9 at Benenden and full boarding. Wanted feedback on others experience, how much do they push academically, I know not a hothouse but daughter still needs encouragement. Also how supportive are they pastorally and is any negative behaviour/bullying quickly resolved with zero tolerance approach? Slightly concerned the new head is leaving but hoping they will find an excellent replacement.
Thanks

She'll love it. They do certainly get the best out of every student without being a hothouse so you have no concern there (see their GCSE and A level insta stories). Pastoral care is totally brilliant. Bullying isn't common and any issue is resolved, just ensure your child is open with you - they can't do anything if they are not aware. The girls' tend to support each other too and standup for each other so bullies don't last. Its not like day school, the girls become a family @ZuluQ . The head is amazing and its sad she's leaving but she's been there a decade and I am sure they will fine someone just as talented and driven.

That's great, thank you so much for the feedback and glad to hear it's all positive 😊

Friends have a daughter there and she is a total delight! Would totally be on my list if DS were DD. Good luck!

Excuse me, may I ask what DS and DD stand for? Thanks
