Cranbrook is both a state school and a grammar. Has always had a good reputation in the area but I haven't looked into schools in the area specifically recently. They separate boarding & day places - not sure what proportions they are but the catchment isn't very big so lots of very local pupils who may even board if that was the only way to get a space. Might need to check how many boarders stay after Saturday sport.

Ripon has a very well regarded 6th form but you might be too late to apply, their closing date was in February (although I don't know how that works with GCSE results etc)

Got an offer for Burford School... please any parents or past alumni with experience who can offer a good perspective on the school and the boarding situation ?
