People that live in Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes is one of the areas we are looking to be to. We live in Bedfordshire but unfortunately we are just realising that the schools have predominantly white people.

I want my kids to not be the only black kids in their years, at the moment they is an average of one black kids per year group of 60. We have exactly 4 black kids in a school of about 300 pupils..which we don't like.

So question for people with kids in Milton Keynes school: In a class in your Milton Keynes primary and secondary school, how many black kids are typically in (black African, black British, black Jamaican etc )?.

What areas should we be looking at and avoiding for access to good primary and good state secondary school.

MK has a huge gang problem and black and black passing kids (boys) are often targetted by gangs. I personally left because I didn’t want to risk it.

@pottylolly , oh wow, thanks for the headsup...which areas would you recommend moving too, that is good for secondary schools with a good black community ..Weve talked about moving back to London but partner is so against it as he is also afraid of teenagehood and gangs...really getting disheartened by it all 😔

Milton Keynes has a growing Black population take a look at some schools and sometimes they have pictures on their website (although some kids won't be on there for a variety or reasons) it should give you a flavour.

London isn't doom and gloom and not all Black boys end up in a gang it's a dangerous stereotype.
