Hello

Any black mums in Wellingborough who I can have a quick chat with to get a sense of your experience living there?

I grew up in Wellingborough but now live in Northampton, I’m not black so can’t really help other than to suggest that these Facebook groups might be useful

Thank you for responding and sharing these page. I really like Wellingborough train station connections, especially thameslink to London Gatwick. Do you like Northampton better? Noticed that there’s a lot of new build in Wellingborough and Northampton too.

I moved from Wellingborough to Northampton at 17 because of my parents. The houses are cheaper in Wellingborough, I have a lot of friends who still live there and they like it. To get from Wellingborough to Northampton is only about 20/30 minutes and rushden lakes is nearer to Wellingborough. There’s Irchester county park and stanwick lakes which are both nearby too. Both town centres are a bit grim tbh but you can get what you need.

I agree about the town centres being grim, that worries a little as stanton cross you will need to go into town for GP and Dental services right?

Also with the shops closing down on the high streets, the town centre across London is looking the same tbh.

I visited Wotton and Weston area too(not all of it), new build houses area, what I have seen so far makes me like those area too

just moved to NN8, we love it here so far...happy to answer any questions
