Hi everyone!
On 13th April, my organisation is co-hosting a charity event called Crowned with Care. We’ll provide Black and Mixed-race children in foster care free hair appointments, products and education.
The event will take place in a London based hair salon called Sta Studios.
And, we’d love to offer the foster parents in the community a chance to book an appointment for their children.
We have time for 40 appointments on the day. Bookings will be secured on a first come, first serve basis so grab a spot while you can!

What we’re doing and why
Many children in care struggle with access to the right hair care, which can affect their confidence and well-being. Crowned with Care aims to bridge that gap by providing:
🪮 Free hair styling from professional braiders, natural hair stylists, and barbers
🧴 A personalised hair care package (2-3 months’ supply of products)
💇🏾♀️ Educational workshops teaching children and carers how to care for textured hair
💛 A safe and affirming space for children to embrace their identity
About the hosts
This event is being hosted by Mane Hook-Up and DOOPS Braiding Studio. Our first event was hosted in Leicester in February where we helped 26 children in care her free hair care.
