Building a Community Network for Black Mums in Surrey

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to connect with Black mums in Surrey. I’m the founder of Vision Liberate, a social enterprise dedicated to empowering women and youth from racialised backgrounds through mental and emotional well-being, resilience-building, and community connection.

I'm currently preparing to launch our "Confidently Me" programme for young girls (ages 5-14) in Surrey. It will help girls build confidence, emotional resilience, and self-belief while embracing their unique qualities and developing essential communication skills.

I’m passionate about building stronger support networks for Black families in Surrey. Growing up here and speaking with others, I’ve noticed that many of us in predominantly white areas often feel isolated, with limited community connections nearby. I’d love to connect with mums, as well as women who may not be mums but care deeply about youth and community, to share resources, build a network, and support each other in raising empowered, confident children.

You can check out a recent event I hosted here: Empower & Connect Networking Dinner.

Would really love to hear your thoughts, especially if you're in the area and want to get involved somehow.

Boma x

Hi Boma

I am based in central and North Hampshire close to the border of Surrey and would be interested in finding out more about this.
