South oxhey

Good evening, I'm looking at purchasing a house in south oxhey. I'm a little bit concerned about the history of the town. I have seen news of improvements but nothing compares to experiences of the residents or those close by.
Has anyone got any wisdom they can share before I move my family here?
We are a family of colour, one boy one girl.

It is pretty close to me. I think it is about 75% white whereas where I live - other side of the county boundary (I am in a London borough)- is mostly non white

Honestly, white doesn't bother me at all, I'm mixed and my mum is white.

I loved here 15 years ago and left due to the racism, it was really tough.
Before taking to much interest in the property I had managed to speak with some neighbours in the area and I've moved in!
The area seems lovely, we've only been here a few weeks but it's so peaceful. Really glad to have taken the leap!

I am glad. I don't want to give my exact location but we are very close and it is a nice area.
