Hello blackmumsnetters,
I am a black middle-aged woman with alopecia who depends on wigs for all interactions with people outside my home.
Can someone please recommend where I can find wigs that look as close to black human hair as possible? My current wig is braided but it has the very annoying netting that when someone is close, they can see that it's obviously a wig.
Is there a place I can get wigs that don't "give me away" when someone is standing close to me?
At the moment, I can only afford over the counter wigs rather than custom made.
