Silk cap/bonnett

Hi

I'm Caucasian and I have long hair which gets knotted at night sleeping plus falls on my face so I bought a silk bonnet from Amazon. I think that was mistake number 1. Mistake 2 was it was cheap, like £5 so I guess I've got what I paid for. I put my hair in it and tie the strings as tight as I can but after a few hours it comes off

Am I tying it wrong, do I need a better quality cap. My hair is long but not silly long so it's not like it's the weight of my hair pulling it off.
